On the 26th of November 2020, at ICSI Rm. Vâlcea, the launch event of the project “Extension of PESTD for the development of research-development applications in the field of tritium – TRIVALCEA” took place, a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, through The Competitiveness Operational Programme 2014-2020.

The event was attended by 20 people, guests from local and regional public institutions, members of the project management and implementation teams, and people targeted by its objectives, results and benefits.

The project “Extension of PESTD for the development of research-development applications in the field of tritium – TRIVALCEA”, SMIS code 127931, contract 307/06.07.2020, is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, through The Competitiveness Operational Programme 2014-2020, Axis 1, Action 1.1.1 – Large RD Infrastructures.

The project aims to expand the research and development capabilities of ICSI Nuclear, so as to strengthen its role as a center of excellence in energy, and through the results of RDI activities, to contribute to the transposition of the laboratory technology in a semi-industrial plant, equivalent to a detritiation unit coupled to the D2O systems in a CANDU reactor.
