Between the 27th of May and the 2nd of June 2018, at Shanghai Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology (SIMT), R.P. China, the signing ceremony of the “International Joint Laboratory for Tritium and Carbon” took place, which will extend ICSI’s international collaboration capabilities in the field of environmental isotopes and new research areas.

Together with ICSI Rm. Vâlcea delegation, over 50 researchers from Shanghai Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology (SIMT) and Shanghai Institute for Applied Physics (SINAP) participated in the ceremony.

The document “Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation on International Joint Laboratory for Science and Technology of Tritium and Carbon” was signed by Dr. Phys. Mihai Varlam from ICSI Rm. Valcea, and by SIMT President, Dr. Shao Li, and SINAP Vice President, Mr. Cai Xianngzhou, vice president of the Advanced Nuclear Energy Innovation Institute, on behalf of the Chinese party.

The “Collaboration Agreement on International Joint Laboratory for Science and Technology of Tritium and Carbon” was signed, representing a collaboration agreement between the parties.

The signing ceremony of the two documents was conducted by Mr. Lu Min, Chief Engineer of the Shanghai Municipal Technical and Supervisory Bureau, who underlined the importance of signing these documents in his speech, and also highlighted the free access to launching concrete projects in the field of isotopes.
