STRATEGY FOR RESEARCH, TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION OF ICSI RM-VALCEA (2017- 2022)

ICSI Rm. Valcea is a significant contributor in the Romanian research field by means of important achievements, such as: patenting and developing the heavy water production technology in Romania; developing a technology to separate deuterium and tritium from heavy water, leading to the technological transfer to Cernavoda NPP; designing the first equipment produced by Europe for ITER fusion reactor; designing a flexible framework to investigate materials at cryogenic temperatures; developing concepts of active protection of the environment and food safety, as well as obtaining innovative technologies in the field of hydrogen technologies and renewable energy technologies.
