    Work Package I - Elaboration of the design for test vacuum chamber and investigation of different pumping methods and coating materials for differential pumping

    1. Activity I.1 - Elaboration of the design and detailed drawings
    2. Activity I.2 - Investigation of different chamber designs for differential pumping
    3. Activity I.3 - Investigation of different coatings materials and pumping methods


    Work Package II - Construction of test chamber, preliminary tests and operation of differential pumping scheme

    1. Activity II.1 - Construction of the test vacuum chamber
    2. Activity II.2 - Preliminary tests of the test vacuum chamber
    3. Activity II.3 - Operation of differential pumping scheme to estimate the vacuum limit in the interaction valume
    4. Activity II.4 - Investigation of vacuum/measurement methods beyond the limits of commercial devices, to 10-14 mbar


    Work Package III - Vacuum tests with the opto-mechanical and electronic components

    1. Activity III.1 - Estimation of outgassing rate of each components and validate the final component lists to be used at ELI-NP
    2. Activity III.2 - Reach the vacuum limit of the chamber populated with components
    3. Activity III.3 - Investigation of the impact of different baking schemes on components and pump-down times and optimizing the final chamber design for XHV performances
    4. Activity III.4 - Preliminary design of the differential pumping system to be used at ELI-NP


    Work Package IV - Operational tests on one ELI-NP beamline nad decision regarding finali configuration of pumping system. Support for implementation of experiment setups at ELI-NP.

    1. Activity IV.1 - Integration of the chamber on one beamline at ELI-NP and support for experiment setups
    2. Activity IV.2 - Pumping tests with the optics and laser beam in the chamber and estimation of the influence of vacuum system on experimental optics
    3. Activity IV.3 - Elaboration of the final design for differential pumping system and detailed design based on expertise gained from operating test chamber
    4. Activity IV.4 - Final report of the project
