 Experimental plant


     ICSI Rm. Valcea has initiated in Romania research activities in domain of production, stockage and hydrogen applications to fuel cells. The purpose is to find alternative sources for unpollutant energy production to a low price, according to strategical directions for development of European Commission.
    Thus, the institute has realized the first experimental-demonstrative pilot plant for energy production with proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEM). Thence, are tested new materials and configurations for fuel cells to obtain better performance and to develop modern solutions according to trend of research on european plan.

 Vacuum equipments
     Beside of analysis laboratories, ICSI Rm. Valcea has developed a production line for vacuum equipments primary based on production, in collaboration with VARIAN firm, of turbomolecular pumps from PTM series, with debits between 70 l/s and 500 l/s and vacuum stands from Vacuum Stand series, with debits between 70 l/s and 300 l/s. The pumps produced to ICSI Rm. Valcea are:

    PTMV70

    Characteristics:
    • pumping speed
      • for N2: 68 l/s
      • for H2: 46 l/s;
    • ultimate pressure < 1*10-9 mbar;
    • rotational speed: 75000 rpm;
    • recomended forepump: mechanical 5 m3/h;
    • cooling requirements: natural air convection/forced air or water optional;
    • inlet flange: ISO 63.






    PTMV300

    Characteristics:
    • pumping speed
      • for N2: 280 l/s
      • for H2: 250 l/s;
    • ultimate pressure < 5*10-10 mbar;
    • rotational speed: 56000 rpm;
    • recomended forepump: mechanical 5 m3/h;
    • cooling requirements: natural air convection/forced air or water optional;
    • inlet flange: ISO 100.






    Vacuum stand GS300

    Characteristics:
    • pumping speed
      • for N2: 280 l/s
      • for H2: 250 l/s;
    • ultimate pressure < 5*10-10 mbar;
    • rotational speed: 56000 rpm;
    • recomended forepump: mechanical 5 m3/h;
    • cooling requirements: natural air convection/forced air or water optional;
    • inlet flange: ISO 100;
    • low and high vacuum measure.

     Deuterium depleted water




       Production of deuterium depleted water represent a recent activity with a high social impact. The medical research have evidentiated prophylactic and therapeutic effects to people and animals
      The deuterium depleted water is sold on market in two presentation forms:
      • mass water artificial mineralizated and 25 ppm deuterium depleted (part on million), which is for human consumption and is applied in naturist therapy;
      • AQUA FORTE, potable water with a low content of deuterium 60 ppm for company and farm animals with prophylactic and therapeutic properties.

      • gas and mixture of gas for solder - argon, carbon dioxide, oxygen, hydrogen, helium and mixtures of argon with this gas;
      • gas with high purity and special gases mixtures of gas for analytical pursposes and for calibration of analysis apparatus;
      • technical gas, mixtyre of gas, INTERGEN for fire extinction and helium for filling of balloons and mascotes to spectacles and celebrations.
